Our Mission: Faith in Action for a Just World

As a Holy Faith Sister, and as the Director of Credo, it is my profound joy and privilege to share our story and our mission with you. For many years, alongside my dedicated Sisters and an incredible team, we have been called to serve those among us who are most vulnerable—especially children who have experienced deep trauma. Our work at Credo is born from a simple yet powerful conviction, one that truly defines who we are: "At Credo Foundation for Justice, we, the Holy Faith Sisters, believe that true faith is active in the pursuit of justice. Every step we take is an act of love, striving to build a world where dignity and equity are not just ideals, but lived realities for every individual."

Building Safe Homes and Brighter Futures for At-Risk Children

The Credo Foundation for Justice in Trinidad and Tobago is deeply committed to providing a safe home and holistic development for socially displaced and at-risk children and young people. We offer secure residential centers, like the Credo Development Centre for Boys and Credo Sophia House for girls, shielding them from the dangers of crime, drugs, and abuse. Our mission extends beyond shelter; we focus on comprehensive support, including counseling, developmental programs, and essential life skills training. We also prioritize education and digital literacy, ensuring access to learning and technology to prepare our youth for self-reliance and responsible citizenship. Ultimately, we aim to empower these young individuals to become educated, productive, and law-abiding members of society.
