Who We Are

The Credo Foundation for Justice was established by members of the Holy Faith Sisters and partners in 1993.

It was a response to ‘a world that is becoming progressively more unjust, more exploitative of the powerless of the earth and more deaf to the cry of the poor.’

Holy Faith Vision

Justice & dignity
Justice & dignity
A profound appreciation for the gift of faith is at the heart of the Holy Faith Congregation. Believing that this calls for different expressions at different times, and that the primary end of all ministry is the Reign of God, the Members of Credo join the Sisters in response to their Congregational call to live ‘a faith that does justice’ in their prayer, their lives and their ministry.

This, we believe, is expressed in a particular way through ministries which:

  • educate towards systemic change
  • promote the dignity of women
  • promote justice education
  • cater for the needs of the family
  • bring us into direct contact with the marginalized in our society.
